Large western Sound tidal range, with strong flow through the harbor narrows and Mill Neck Creek on the mid-tide stages. We schedule inspection work around slack where current would otherwise compromise the survey.
Three to six feet on a good flood tide, less after weather. Cold Spring Harbor generally runs clearer than the inner Oyster Bay basins.
